ICGA beginnings go back nearly twenty years as the Grout Task Force for NASSCO, Inc., the National Association of Sewer Service Companies. Today ICGA is a major Division within NASSCO and provides education and training courses related to chemical grouting specifications, methods and equipment.
The mission of ICGA is to promote chemical grouting as a means to reduce, control or stop groundwater infiltration into sewer collection systems.
We believe this mission can best be accomplished by carrying out the following activities:
Promote the use of nationally recognized specifications and publishing technical and application articles attesting to the successful application of chemical grouting.
Educate sewer collection system managers and engineers about chemical grouting and its applications for controlling and stopping groundwater infiltration.
Train contractor and municipal operators, inspectors and engineers in the correct application of chemical grouts, operation of the grouting equipment and safe handling of the grouting chemicals.
Reestablish the technical foundation of chemical grouting by recovering, updating and publishing prior research that formed the basis of the chemical grouting process.
Actively recruit new ICGA members. Assist the members in their promotion and selling of the process and products at related industry trade shows and training events.
ICGA members also support the values and guiding principles of NASSCO, Inc.
